Dunlop D207GP (grade 5) or D207 ZR (grade 5). Arguably the best fitting tire for the Blade. The ZR is a street compound and has performed admirably under most conditions I have thrown at them. Stick like glue. The GP's are race compound and are hard to come by for stock 16" front rims, however, there are people that can get them. The GP's seem to be favored by most riders that have tried them, with exceptional grip. However, there is a dramatic increase in wear.
Metzler MEZ1 (grade 5) Street Compound front and rear. Sizes 130/70*16, 180/55*17. The popular list variation is a Race compound front with a street rear. This setup should get you 3,000 miles of hard aggressive riding before they wear. This setup gives you ideal handling with exceptional grip. Medium wear levels.

Bridgestone BT56 (grade 5) Race compound front with a Street compound rear. Arguably the only setup to match the MEZ1 and D207 series of rubber. Super stability and great adhesion. Should also give approximately 3,000 miles wear. -
Bridgestone BT58SS (grade 5) A lot of listers are going to the SS for super grip and race traction.
Pirelli Dragons (grade 5) . These are identical to the MEZ1's as they are made by the same company using the same compound. The biggest difference between the MEZ1's is the cut of the lines in the tires. Very aggressive looking tire. They perform the same as the MEZ1's using the same setups. -
Metzler MEZ2 (grade 3) Sport Touring Tires. Give great wear characteristics with super handling but offer a lessened grip of the MEZ1 due to the harder compound. Should get 7,000 miles out of a pair. -
Michelin Macadams (grade 2). These tires come highly rated by the few riders who use them. They are not very popular among the list though. They seem to be a fine tire for standard street riding applications. -
Bridgestone BT50's (grade 0). Not recommended by listers due to premature wear and horrible feel.
The Metzler MEZ4 is available and initial indications are that it will be a
great tire for aggressive street sport riding. It's draw is the grip of the
MEZ1 and the duration of an MEZ2. Hey, I just got an MEZ4 Rear for $140 and
